Going above and beyond

     Thank you so much Pam for your caring and true dedication to our lab Maxie. You have gone way above what I would ever ask in your willingness to take care of her when she was not feeling well. I know you took matters into your own hands and relied on your experiences and education from working at a vet clinic and hospital and got her feeling well. I really don't feel anyone would of gone through what you did to help her. Really shows how much you care. Thanks again and I will always be available for any references you need.

     Anyone can tell you, I don’t have pets - I have four-legged children. And like any parent, I would not leave my kids with someone unless I was absolutely convinced they would receive the best of care. Pam and Pat are fantastic. I am able to leave my animals in the comfort and security of my (their) own home and know that they will be well cared for.  

     Pat stays with my animals overnight when I am traveling. The first time she dog-sat, she left a letter filling me in on what happened while I was gone, such as: my puppy causing mischief in the kitchen, and our middle child sucking up all the petting he could get. The letter really touched me and made me understand that I had found a fellow animal lover.  I still miss by babies when I’m traveling, but I know they are receiving the best of care, and love.   
     I would recommend Pat and Pam without a moment’s hesitation to anyone needing an animal sitter.

    Our family is now on our second generation of dogs to stay with Pam and Pat.  We moved to Georgia with two very rowdy Dalmatians in 1995. They grew, aged and eventually passed on, and through all stages, Pam would keep them at her home, or Pat would stay with them at ours.
     We traveled extensively and for long periods of time. One of the dogs was always on medication and often required special food and bathing regimens. Not many folks could comply with his needs. We never had to worry about them. What a gift it is to be able to travel, while missing your pets, but knowing they are happy, well cared for, and loved. I wouldn’t give up that sense of security for anything. 
     Now we have a young Collie who looks forward to his visits to DogDaze and comes home happy, healthy, and tired.  What a load off my mind every time we have to leave behind the four legged members of our family to know they are at home with Pam and Pat.

         After previously boarding my Golden Retriever, Reef, with a large chain-store boarding facility, I was very relieved to find Pam & Pat and have them in our lives. We like to travel a bit and I always felt bad when we would drop Reef off at that place. When we picked him up, he was obviously not happy, and we knew he’d spent the entire time lying on a concrete floor in an over-crowded kennel. We were paying a huge sum of extra money just to have them take him out to play for a few minutes. He would often be sick for a week or two when he came home…

     Now when I drop Reef off at Pam and Pat’s home, he's happy to be there and he obviously likes them very much. I know that he's getting their attention and socializing with other dogs and having a great time while he's there. We are always able to work out a drop-off/pick-up time which suits us and that's very important to me. And when I ask how he did while we were gone, I know the answer I am getting is the truth.

      I have recommended Pat & Pam to all my friends who kennel their dogs and will continue to do so. With Pam's many years working for a vet, I also know Reef's in excellent hands should something go wrong. It just brings it down once again to the personal touch of a smaller business. They are very much dog lovers who do this because they want to, not because it's just their job.

     You can't beat Dog Daze Pet Care when it comes to Pet Sitting. I take my dogs to them whenever I am out of town. When you leave your dog at a kennel, those people go home so your dog has no one. Pet Sitting is at their home in a specially set up garage allowing your pet maximum care by a trained vet tech at a very reaonable cost. Lots of love and exercise is applied too.

I Never Worry!

Pam and Pat,

     I just wanted to say “thank you” for the many years of care you have provided for our four legged pets, as well as our swimming and shelled family members. You both have become extended family members and we couldn’t take a vacation without knowing you were there for them. Through the years you have watched Casey grow from a puppy to middle aged dog. You not only take care of Casey at your home but keep a watchful eye on Miss Abbey - the phantom cat in our home…and, of course, the fish, or hermit crabs that we’ve had over the years.

     I never worry about the care Casey will receive and he always comes home just as healthy and happy as when we dropped him off. And when you come to the house to check on Abbey it gives me an extra sense of peace knowing someone as trustworthy as the two of you check on the house and come and go while we are away.  

      I will never forget the time I received a call from my mother, who lives out of state, to tell me my father had had a massive stroke and we needed to leave quickly.  When we called you with very short notice to care of our pets, you never hesitated and made it so easy for us to just get on the road. You probably never realized what a blessing you two were to us in such a time of need, and I truly thank both of you for always being there for me and my family. 

     I never hesitate to recommend your services to anyone needing to board their animal with you or have you come to their homes for pet-care. In my book, you two are the most trust worthy and confident people I know when it comes to animal care.

     For all the times I didn’t say it enough…thank you for being the type of people that really care and provide such outstanding service  and compassion.

     I’ve always had a hard time going on vacation and leaving my canine babies behind! I feared no one could possibly take as good care of them as I could until I was fortunate enough to meet Pat Ottensmeier, Co-Owner of DogDaze Pet Care. Now I walk out the door with full confidence that our special family members will be pampered and in safe hands.

    What a relief it is to have that kind of trust! This means my husband and I can actually enjoy our time away from home and from the dogs without feeling guilty or worried. And they are indeed happy campers every time we return.
